WS·03THE MIX

MIX FIVE TYPES
OF CONTENT.

LIVE

Stage photos, crowd shots, full songs. The reason people follow a band.

BACKSTAGE

Soundcheck, the van, the green room. Shows the people behind the music.

RELEASES

Teasers, pre-saves, out-now posts. Every song gets its own 6-week arc.

THROWBACKS

Old tours, first shows, early eras. Your archive is full of these.

FANS

Reposts, replies, thank-yous. Cheapest content you have, and it converts.

WS·04HOW TO

CREATE YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA
CONTENT CALENDAR IN FOUR STEPS.

  1. Pick your channels

Start with two. Most bands: Instagram and TikTok. Add YouTube Shorts when you have live video.

  2. Set a weekly rhythm

3 to 5 posts a week per channel. Put each post type on a fixed day so you never decide from scratch.

  3. Fill the slots from your archive

Open your camera roll or tour folder. Drop one file into each row of the template. Write a one-line caption.

  4. Schedule it

Paste the week into a scheduler, or connect your archive to Woodstock and let it fill the calendar and publish for you.

WS·05FAQ

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED.

What should a musician post on social media?

Rotate five types of content: live, backstage, releases, throwbacks and fans. The template puts one type on each day of the week so every week has variety without extra planning.

How far ahead should I plan a social media calendar?

Two weeks of posts ready at all times, and a six-week arc around every release. The template covers both: a two-week rotation and a release plan from four weeks before to two weeks after.

How do I use the template?

Download the PDF, print it, and pin it in the van or the rehearsal room. Each day has blanks for the date, the file and the caption. If you plan in a spreadsheet, use the CSV version instead — it opens in Google Sheets (File → Import), Excel and Numbers.

SKIP THE
SPREADSHEET.

Woodstock fills the calendar from your photo and video archive, writes the captions, and publishes every post. The template, on autopilot.
